Westbury in Wiltshire is a busy junction station with substantial yards serving the nearby quarries and engineers trains.
Filmed over several visits in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003 & 2004 this DVD depicts the changing freight scene from Class 33 & 37 in 1998 to Class 66 dominance in 2004.
Starting in 1998 we see plenty of heritage traction with Classes 09, 33, 37 & 59 working light engine, oil tankers, engineers, passenger and stone trains.
Since introduction in 1985 the Class 59 has been synonymous with stone traffic and we see Foster Yeoman, ARC, Hanson & EWS Class 59/0, 59/1 & 59/2s.
Featuring more than 70 workings from Classes 08, 09, 31, 33, 37, 47, 58, 59, 60 & 66.
Loco-hauled cross-country with 31s and 47s, plus a 47 hauled Pullman railtour.
