Three busy days at Bletchley on the West Coast Main Line showing the contrast between 1996, 1997 & 2002.
Located a short distance from Milton Keynes, Bletchley is a busy junction for the line to Bedford. A number of DMU 'Bubble Cars' are seen working the branch in 1996, replaced by 150 DMU's by 2002.
Locomotives featured include classes 31, 37, 47, 56, 58, 60, 66, 86, 87, 90 & 92.
A few of the highlights include;
- Intercity class 86, 87 & 90 give way to Virgin Trains by 2002.
- Class 31's & 37's working light engine and freight in and out of the yard.
- Reailfreight & Freightliner class 47, 86 & 90 start to be replaced by the new Freightline class 66.
- Class 56 & 58 working enterprise.
- Class 90's dragging class 92's on test runs.
